"Keung Kwok" dim sum - Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao


Sweet Sweet Boyfriend said he want Shanghainese dim sum before looking for new desk.  We cannot go Su-Zhe Fraternity Association because I no membership. I don't want membership because that place mainly Central Chinese people.  I want Central international people so I can say I am sophisticate (but I no want go Lan Kwai Fong.  The slope not good for the YSL platform pumps I wearing. )

I no like Crystal Jade because 30 minutes wait last time and Sweet Sweet Boyfriend want go furniture shop in Causeway Bay. I said "No! No!  No grand!"  Sweet Sweet Boyfriend said "What about I take you to Lane Crawford afterwards for a new bottle of Jo Malone?"  

We went Causeway Bay but I no like waiting at Ding Tai Feng.  Too many people standing around. One time I wear same Jimmy Choo shoes as one "Keung Kwok" (strong country, mainland) woman at that hotel but she had her croc Hermès Birkin and I only had my Maison Martin Margiela snake skin clutch.  I think I look prettier but she said "No Birkin!?"  I cry that night! 

We cross to other side and went Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao in Causeway Bay Plaza.  I said it late and I no eat carbohydrates even though I like Shanghainese fry udon with pork and cabbage.  Sweet Sweet Boyfriend said if noodle coat with oil, I no take in carb quick and I won't gain weight.  He foody and I listen to him. 

First dish dry noodle with scallion, oil and dried shrimp. It smell very good noodle texture good too. Sweet Sweet Boyfriend said noodle a little soft and can have a little more oil.  He so sweet to me.  He doesn't want me to gain weight from carb.



Next was "alive fry bun"  (Sheng Jian Bao,  pan fried pork buns).  Quite good.  Bottom can have more char. I am so excited, I learn to say char this char that from Sweet Sweet Boyfriend and his foody friend so I sound like foody too.  Sweet Sweet Boyfriend was happy I knew the bottom is no char enough.


We no want rice (Rice very bad to keep my size 2 figure!) and Sweet Sweet Boyfriend order fried rice cake with snow vegetable and pork (preserved mustard green, pork with Shanghainese rice cake).  The Shanghainese rice cake is no sweet and yellow like Cantonese rice cake for Lunar new year.  I like texture.  We eat with chili sauce otherwise no salty enough.


Sweet Sweet Boyfriend want Small Steamer Bun (Xiao Long Bao) but I said no vegetable and I get fat!  So, he order a vegetarian Xiao Long Bao.  I bite but no soup!  How can Xiao Long Bao no soup? The inside like vegetarian wor tip (pot sticker) but skin like Xiao Long Bao.


Sweet Sweet Boyfriend want the Shanghai Sticky Rice Xiao Mai but we order 30 minutes and food no show!  One lady want us to keep waiting and pay for Xiao Mai.  I no happy and the other Hong Kong lady help us and cancel order.

We had rice dumpling with black sesame paste in ginger tea as dessert.


Not too many people at Nan Xiang but service not always same (and NO stool for my handbag!) service good if HK woman serve but strange if mandarin speak woman serve. She no rude but just want us wait for our order with no cancel.  I think maybe that's how they work in China.
